Grace be unto you all and peace from God our Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ. This letter is a continuation of last week’s epistle on the millennial reign of Christ and His saints on the earth. It reveals more truths concerning life in the millennium and events that shall be completed in those days. We exhort you all to be like the Berea Christians who after receiving the word with readiness of mind also searched the scriptures daily to see whether those things were so. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own heart and understand that these words are true and shall come to pass. Below are more truths on the millennial reign of Christ on the earth:
Satan will be bound for a thousand years (Rev 20:1-10) – According to Rev 20:1-10, God will send an angel from heaven to lay hold on Satan and bind him for a thousand years in the bottomless pit (Greek word is abussos). This angel shall bind Satan with a literal chain and cast him into the abyss and shut him up in the prison and set a seal upon him for a thousand years. The seal is necessary to keep him there so he could not deceive the nations of the earth throughout the thousand years of Christ’s reign on the earth.
Christ’s millennial kingdom will be literal and earthly (Isa 9:6-7, Dan 2:44-45; 7:13-27; Zech 14, Luke 1:32-33, Rev 5:10; 11:15; 20:1-10) - it will be a theocratic government (Isa 2:2-4, 52:7, Ezek 43:7, Dan 2:44-45; 7:13-14, Zech 14:1-21, Matt 25:31-46, Luke 1:32-33, Rev 11:15; 20:1-10) when Christ shall rule under God (Isa 9:6-7, Dan 7:13-14, Luke 1:32-33).
David will rule over all Israel under Christ (Jer 30:9, Ezek 34:24; 37:24-28, Hosea 3:4-5) – In Jer 30:9, God declared plainly that Israel shall serve David their king in the millennium whom He will raise up unto them. This is another proof of the resurrection of the dead (Dan 12:2, John 5:28-29). According to Ezek 34:24, in those days David will be the chief under-shepherd of the whole house of Israel (13 tribes) under the Messiah (Ezek 37:24-25, Hosea 3:5, Amos 9:11). Christ will be the chief shepherd (Heb 13:20, 1 Pet 2:25, 5:4) and the 12 apostles will reign over one tribe each.
All saints will have part in ruling as kings and priests (Rev 20:4) – In Rev 20:4, the scriptures reveal that saints will be given thrones and judgment by which they shall judge the earth in those days. This proves that all saints will reign with Christ in some capacity as kings and priests (Rev 1:6, 2:26-27, 3:21, 5:10, 12:5, 20:4-6, 22:4-5, Luke 22:30, Rom 8:17, 1 Corinth 6:2-4, 2 Tim 2:12, Heb 12:28, Psa 149:6-9, Dan 7:18, 27).
The World’s Capital will be Jerusalem in Israel (Isa 2:2-4, Ezek 48, Zech 14) – According to Isa 2:2-4 and Micah 4:1 which will be fulfilled in the last days i.e. the days of the Messiah in the millennium, themountain of the Lord’s house shall be exalted above all mountains and hills. It will be exalted as the location of the Messiah’s eternal capital building above any other building or city or any other hill or mountain. In Isa 2:3, this mountain of the Lord’s house is also called the mountain of the LORD and the house of the God of Jacob. What then is the mountain of the Lord’s house? Is it the wealthy church as some men teach? Or is it the state of the church in the last days as some others suggest? Come out of your deception son of man and understand these things that we are about to write for they are true and shall come to pass: It is written in Zech 8:3: Thus saith the LORD: I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth;andthe mountain of the LORD of hoststhe holy mountain. Therefore, according to the Word of God alone, not word of man, Jerusalem in the millennium shall be mountain of the LORD. It shall be called the mountain of the Lord’s house when Christ reigns from there. This is in perfect harmony with Isa 2:2-3 where the mountain of the LORD is also called the mountain of the Lord’s house. The house of the God of Jacob mentioned in Isa 2:3 is the Millennial temple which will be built by Christ in Jerusalem at His return as described in Ezek 40:4-47:12. That Christ Himself will build this temple is plainly written in Zech 6:12-13. This temple will be the eternal capital building of the world in the millennium. When this temple is completed in the millennium, Christ will literally walk into it i.e. it will be the place of the soles of His feet, His capital building, His dwelling, His headquarters, His throne room, and His office from where He will rule over all nations forever (Ezek 43:7, Isa 9:6-7, Dan 7:13-14, Zech 6:12-13, 14:4-5, 9, Luke 1:32-33, Rev 11:15), where He will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever. This will be His earthly dwelling as well as His office place among men. He will also eat in this building. During the millennium, this temple will be His earthly headquarters and the New Jerusalem in heaven will be His heavenly home. Christ and all saints will travel back and forth from heaven to earth in the millennium. All nations on the earth in the millennium shall go up to Jerusalem to honor and worship Christ in His temple (Zech 14:16-21, Isa 2:2, Micah 4:1). Out of Jerusalem in those days shall go forth the civil laws for the whole earth (Isa 2:3, Micah 4:2). Even the word of God will go forth from Jerusalem. Jewish missionaries will go forth from Israel to evangelize the world until the knowledge of the Lord covers the earth as the waters covers the sea (Isa 11:9, 52:7, 66:19-21, Micah 4:3). The Messiah shall be the judge of all nations of the earth in those days and nation shall not lift up sword against nation. There shall be no more wars on the earth for the prince of peace has come.
