As it is written: Hear the word at my mouth and give this people a warning from me, so also He has commanded us to do this day. It is written in Psa 32:1-2 and Rom 4:7-8: Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 blessed is the man unto whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. It is also written in Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. By these scriptures and some few others, many in the body of Christ today live in all forms of sin and unrighteousness while they profess that the grace of God will save them in the end. Most of these people have been deceived by their pastors and teachers whom they have also esteemed above God and His word. As it is written concerning the last days that men will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears, and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables, even so these things are being fulfilled in these last days before our eyes. Men whom our Lord has set over His flock to feed them with His truth have turned their eyes away from Him that called them. They have made up their own doctrines teaching from their own hearts what the Lord hath not said. They have made many in the body of Christ today ignorant of sin and various forms of unrighteousness in them. They say to the people: you shall have peace, while the Lord my GOD promised wrath to them that walk in unrighteousness and refuse to repent and forsake sin. They have even said holiness is unattainable unto the Lord, and by this many have trifled the word of God as if it be a lie. Now hear the word of the Lord ye stiff-necked people that continue in sin and refuse to repent, thus saith the Lord: My spirit shall strive with you a little longer and thereafter I shall come upon you in mine anger. Even all the men that have taught my people lies shall I bring into condemnation and none shall deliver them out of my hand. Shall a man cause my people to go into perdition and escape my justice? Shall he cause my people to perish and he himself be saved? Shall he stand before me? Turn to my truth according to my word and deliver thy soul before me lest you enter into condemnation and there be none to deliver you. Therefore, repent today, for I come quickly. Teach my truth in whole and turn my people from their sins lest I come to you suddenly and discover your nakedness. Behold, I do come shortly, therefore repent and remember as thou hast heard.
What is the meaning of imputation as written in Psa 32:1-2 and Rom 4:7-8 cited above? The Hebrew word for imputation is chashab. It literally means to charge with, to put to the account of one. Imputation is that act of God in salvation whereby He accounts the believer righteous in Christ because Christ bore his sins and because he has properly repented of his sins and met God?s terms of reconciliation (Rom 3:24-31, 4:1-25, 2 Corinth 5:14-21, Gal 3:6, 9, 13-14). Eph 2:8 states that we are saved by grace through faith and not works. Concerning this, we have written to you in times past http://www.seasonsofnoah.com/wrath_to_come.htm. It is true that grace cannot be withheld from man because of demerit, or be mixed with the law of works. Yet still, not one scripture teaches unconditional grace or that God gives grace to men that disobey the gospel. If this be true, then God is under obligation to save all sinners. The scripture teach clearly (Phil 2:12) that after salvation and becoming born again, a believer must continue to work out his salvation with fear and trembling lest he fall away. Is it not written in Tit 2:11-13 that the grace of Christ which we have received unto salvation teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and live soberly, righteously, and godly here in this present world? Is this not what the grace of God demand from every believer? Therefore, if any man refuses to obey the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and do His commandments, then he has received the grace of God in vain. For this man, grace can go no further, for the first work of grace is to reveal to us the goodness of God which lead to repentance without which none shall be saved.
Below are some false doctrines on salvation. We'll first state it and then refute it with the word of God.
God cannot and does not impute sins of believers to their account: This is untrue. The truth is that God cannot do otherwise if believers go back into sin again. Sin has to be imputed where there is a law broken (Rom 5:13, 6:23, 8:12-13). Therefore, if a believer goes back to sin, God will charge that sin to him as many times as the sin is committed until he truly confesses and repents of the sin.
Christ bore the sins of all believers and they cannot be charged to Him more than once. Even in civil courts, a crime cannot be charged to a man twice. This is only half-truth, as it deals with sin that has been forgiven. If the same man commits the same sins again, any civil court will charge them to the same man again. Yes, again, and again, if he commits them that many times. So it is with the divine court. A man forgiven of past sins must quit sin. If he commits the same sins again after becoming born again, he will be charged with them again. They must be properly confessed and forgiven again or he will pay the death penalty for the new crimes (Ezek 18:4, 20-26, Rom 6:23, 8:12-13, 1 Corinth 6:9-11, Gal 5:19-21, 2 Tim 2:12).
All sins, past, present, and future are forgiven by Christ once and forever. This is also half-truth. It is written in Rom 3:24-25 ?being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission ofsins that are past, through the forbearance of God?. The Bible teaches very clearly by this scripture that Christ forgave ONLY past sins. He did not forgive future sins. He only made provision for them to be forgiven by His blood if properly confessed through repentance. This is why He warned the churches in the book of Revelation with destruction if they do not repent. Why would He destroy them if He already forgave all their present and future sins? Why would He then warn them of perdition because of their sins? Indeed our Lord Jesus Christ bore the sins of all men, but one cannot receive forgiveness until sin is committed and confessed. Even sin that is committed and not confessed cannot be forgiven (1 John 1:9, Luke 13:3, 5). The fact that all sinners are not saved proves this. If men could not be damned for committing unconfessed sins which Christ has borne, then no man will be lost, for Christ bore the sins of all (Rom 5:8, Gal 1:4, 1 Pet 2:24, 3:18, Heb 2:9).
God cannot and does not see the sins of believers, all He sees is the blood of Christ that automatically covers their sins. These claims are denials of every principle of divine and human governments. Even no human government could possibly be just and righteous to permit such a program with criminals that transgress the law. And yet, this is the kind of government many in the church teach and believe in as the divine government of God. God has repeatedly stated very clearly in His WORD that He will judge and punish every sin, even to every idle word if they are not confessed and forsaken (Matt 12:37-39, Rom 2:12-16, 2 Corinth 5:10, Rev 20:11-15).
It dishonors the blood of Christ to teach that it covers only past sins. A believer does not have to continue to be faithful to be saved. Sin can never reign over a saved man regardless of what he does. God chooses who will be saved and chooses who will be lost. There is no role for man to play in his salvation. The grace of God will save all sinners in the end. The only difference between the saved and the unsaved is that one has accepted Christ and the other has not. Some of these doctrines are half-truth while some are completely false. There is not one scripture to fully support all these false claims. Obedience to God according to the gospel is the basis of all justification and imputation of righteousness to man. God requires confession of sins (1 John 1:9, Luke 13:3, 5), faith (John 3:16, Eph 2:8-9), and choice on man?s part in conformity to the plan of redemption before He justifies a man (Mark 16:16, Rom 1:5, 16, 3:24-31, 5:1-11, Rev 22:17). Man must be willing unto God. God provided redemption for all men and it is His will that all accept Christ and be saved (John 3:16, 1 Tim 2:4, 2 Pet 3:9) but no man will be forgiven who personally refuses to repent, believe, and conform to the gospel.
All men sin everyday. This is very untrue and unscriptural. Many believers in the world today as we speak live without sin day by day. It is very possible to live without sin each day. This is by constant COMMUNION with the Holy Spirit and FULLY ABIDING in the Word of God not to transgress them. This is by living and walking in the Spirit always. What does it mean to live and walk in the Spirit? It means to live and walk ONLY according to the Word of God. This is the only way to live above sin every day. This is the way to remain holy in the Lord to the end; to live and walk according to His word. If the word of God say no, you must say no. if it says yes, then you must say yes. For as it is written, sin is the transgression of the word of God. No believer has to sin, but if he does sin it will be charged to him and he will pay the death penalty if he dies in sin without repentance and confession (Ex 32:32, Ezek 18:4, 20-26, Rom 6:16-23, 8:12-13, 1 Corinth 6:9-11, gal 5:19-21, 6:7-8, 2 Tim 2:12, James 5:19-20). Freedom from sin is truly possible in the body (Rom 6:6-7, 16-23, 8:1-4, 12-13, 12:1-2, 1 Corinth 3:16-17, 6:19-20, 7:34, 9:27, 2 Corinth 4:10, 7:1, Eph 1:4, 4;24, 5:25-27, Col 1:20-23, 2:11-13, Heb 12:10-14, 1 John 1:7-9, 2:1-2, 29, 3:3-10, 5:1-4, 18), as well as in the soul and spirit (2 Corinth 7:1).This is why our Lord Jesus Christ gave us the Holy Spirit. That we may remain in Him in all holiness unto the end. This is the power over sin: a life full of the Spirit. Many believers sin today because they yield to sin. They refuse to yield to the Spirit in them because of their own lusts. They have not completely crucified their flesh by yielding to the Sprit of God in them. This they must do in other to remain to the end.
Today, many still continue to hide under grace while dwelling in sin day by day professing that they are saved. They lavish praise on the blood of Christ that saved them yet their hearts are far from God and His word. Our Lord Jesus Christ who initiated the new covenant under grace warned us all in His word that: He that endureth to the end shall be saved (Matt 10:22). We are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out (Matt 5:13). We should labor for eternal life (John 6:27). Only if we continue in His word are we His disciples (John 8:31). If a man loves Him, he will keep His words (John 14:21-23). If a man abide not in Him, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned (John 15:6). We abide in His love if we keep His commandments (John 15:10-13). We are His friends if we do whatsoever He commands us (John 15:14). Apostle Paul also warned us all that God will cut us off as He did to Israel in the wilderness if we do not continue in His goodness(Rom 11:20-23). Now we know as it is written that the goodness of the Lord leads to repentance.
Brethren, this is the call of God unto everyone that has a hope of being with Him in His kingdom shortly in the days to come: that all should repent and turn away from sin and unrighteousness. Hear therefore O man: for the Lord my GOD hath showed thee what is good; and what He the LORD requires of thee: to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God. Fear God and fear His name also, for the fear of God has departed far away from the people. Return! Return to the Lord! Understand and know beyond any shadow of doubt that the Lord would soon come for His people. For this cause He sent us, to make ready for Himself a holy people prepared for the Lord. If you hear men say the coming of the Lord is not yet, turn deaf ears unto them lest they corrupt you with their lies and make you unprepared and my Lord comes unto you suddenly, for they have not heard from the Lord. The Lord has commanded us to sound the alarm to the world concerning His coming and warn His people to depart from sin, and be prepared and ready. For this cause, we have written to you this epistle trusting in the Lord who sent us that this word will bear fruit in you and bring all men unto repentance and supplication in the Lord to do His will and obey His words. Behold the Lord cometh shortly. Prepare, Watch, and Be Ready. Grace be unto you all. Amen.
